Another season of The Walking Dead is coming to an end this week and I can only imagine that there are massive things in store for the 90-minute finale this Sunday.
As much as I try to avoid spoilers I have seen promises from the cast and crew that there will be major losses in this episode. I don’t know who, but I’m afraid I’m not going to be happy. I hope it’s handled well because the “shocking loss” aspect has been pretty well played out.
No matter what happens it’s going to be interesting to see how things go down in Alexandria.
I have also heard there will be a sneak peek of the Walking Dead companion series that’s scheduled to premiere this summer. I’m really excited about this new show because we will get to see a new perspective. According to a talk writer-producer Robert Kirkman gave at SXSW this year the show will start as a prequel and then catch up to the current series and run concurrently. There are so many cool possibilities with that concept. I also love the idea that the new show is not based on the comic book series. Everything in it will be more of a surprise for everyone.
Here’s a sneak peek of a brief scene from the season finale (no real spoilers here – it’s just Maggie and Deanna discussing the Rick situation):
The Walking Dead season 5 finale airs Sunday March 29 on AMC – don’t forget it’s 90 minutes instead of the usual hour.
